Put on Your Holiday Face

It's the holiday season and many of you are thinking about the fabulous holiday events and family functions you will be attending.
Have you decided on a cosmetic look? My suggestion would be a glamorous, smokey eye and nude, wet lip. It is a modern way to look amazing and special.
Here are some helpful hints to achieve this festive look.
- First apply a matte black eye shadow to your entire eyelid and up to the crease of the eye. Blend it very well until it looks smokey.
- Next apply a pearl, shimmery black eye shadow to the center of your eyelid for a beautiful highlight.
- Line your eyes with a black gel eye liner pencil right next to the lash line on the top lid for depth.
- Finish your eye with some mascara.
- For extra drama, you may add a strip of fake lashes if desired.
- Apply your blush as normal, but for a festive look, add an illuminating gelee powder to the top of the cheekbones as well as the apple of the cheeks. This will give you a bronzed, luminous and modern red carpet look! You can also add the powder to the center of the forehead and chin if you like.
- For your lips, do not use a lip liner pencil; simply just apply a nude lip gloss to your lips. The look will be modern with a youthful edge.
- Finish your look by setting your makeup with a makeup finishing spray. The spray will hold your makeup in place for up to 16 hours!
Here are a few of my favorite products for the season!
- Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye shadow Duo; retails for $30. My Favorite duo for a smoky eye is the BLACK CHROME (Limited Edition)
- Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee in MODERN MURCURY; retails for $40. Apply this powder to get that red carpet, dewy modern look!
- Makeup For Ever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner; retails for $18. This liner is water and smudge proof. It will not run and give you the unwanted raccoon eyes.
- Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray; retails for $19-$39. Apply a few mists after you finish your entire makeup look, but before mascara to set your makeup. This will limit the amount of touchups you’ll need. This is available only at www.skindinavia.com
- NYX Cosmetics Loose Pearl Eye shadow; retails for $3.00. You can find great colors for the price!
- L'Oreal True Match Concealer; retails for $8.95. This concealer is amazing because it covers to perfection, is not heavy or chalky does not settle into fine lines and is super blendable! Apply a small amount to your eyelid and under eye area before foundation. Blend by patting lightly with your finger until you get the desired coverage and the product looks flat to the eye. Concealer should be 1 to 2 shades lighter than your skin.
- Covergirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Compact Foundation; retails for $7.99. This foundation is not heavy or chalky. It matches 97% of all skin tones. By applying this product with a damp sponge, you can control the weight of the product and get moderate or light coverage. It blends beautifully!
- L'Oreal True Match Blush; retails for $10.95 Four of my favorite colors are, SPICED PLUM, APRRICOT KISS, SWEET GINGER and SOFT SUN. They appear very natural. Blush should look like you’re blushing and not appear heavy and overdone.
- Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Waterproof Mascara; retails for $18. It is smudge and flake proof.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
